Difficult Times Ahead..

Recent budget announcements, and those to follow in the Autumn, put real pressure on your training and development budgets.

Effective are determined to do all we can to help you work as well as you can through these difficult times, and have several ideas to support you and your staff which are innovative, effective and low cost.

FANCY A VISIT ?

We would love to talk with you face to face about the coming difficulties ,and how we can help.

Please contact carolinerowlands@etduk.co.uk if you’d welcome a visit from Arnie, Diane or Julie, we’ll be happy to come and see you without any obligation.

CASCADING SKILLS…

One response you may be interested in is our one day programme on CASCADING SKILLS. We offer this as an inhouse programme , or as an open programme in Manchester,contact carolinerowlands@etduk.co.uk if you want more information .

GET THAT JOB…

We now provide half day seminars  giving handy hints and tips for people who might (especially now) want to prepare themselves for the next or new job. For a half day fee we can take as many numbers as your venue can hold. Those who’ve found them useful include staff who fear redundancy, or reapplying for jobs and local college students who want to get that first job. Interested? contact dianeinghamcook@etduk.co.uk

CONSORTIUM DEVELOPMENT…

We are currently working with a number London Boroughs to form a training & development consortium, to reduce costs and improve access to tailored staff development needs . We provide all organisation, preparation and admin for the consortium. Most sessions are half days and typical cost is £45 per participant.

MORE THAN T&D….

In recent years, we have become much more than a training and development company ( despite our name!) Here are some examples of what we’ve SUCCESSFULLY delivered for clients recently:

  • policy guidance and review
  • presentation of key corporate documents in innovative ways
  • design and delivery of a business model
  • restructuring
  • direct support in Transformational Change
  • critical friend role
  • focus group facilitation
  • mystery shopping
  • design and delivery assessment centres
  • talent managment
  • design competency questionnaires
  • behavioural indicators

All of the above are as much about service delivery as staff development.  If you need anything similar we can help you , contact dianeinghamcook@etduk.co.uk

CONFERENCE SUCCESS

Another part of our success is speaking at regional conferences. Since last newsletter Diane and Arnie have talked about ‘influencing skills’ and dynamic presentation skills to :

  • regional conference for internal auditors
  • national conference for ALARM- risk managment association
  • Police Service - Wales

On each occasion, conference particiapnts voted us the best in conference. SO if you have a need for a guest speaker- or know someone who does,  contact  carolinerowlands@etduk.co.uk

WHAT THEY SAY…

We continue to get great feedback from our customers . They say..

‘Diane is great at getting over how to improve communication and presentation skills in ways that are enjoyable and also stay in the mind. She doesn’t do just generic training but gets into the specifics of the group that she’s working with’

‘The sessions just keep getting better and better-if only they were longer’ (participants at Julie’s Learning at work bitesize sessions)

I start on Wednesday! Thanks again for helping me to get to this point. It’s a brilliant feeling wouldn’t have happened without you Arnie ( client from Arnies ‘no win no fee’job coaching service)

NEWS FROM YOU TOO..

We’d love to hear from you if you have particular ways of dealing with the downturn- we’d like to learn too!

Have a lovely summer!
