We know that chatting about topics of concern or interest whilst taking a stroll can be really helpful. Fresh air, releasing energy, enjoying the company of others and the landscape, all alter and enrich the conversational experience. So the purpose of the ‘walk and talk ‘ is to discuss topics of relevance, and exchange ideas on key themes and issues, and how we might address them, during our ‘walk and talk’ session.
So we are inviting you to take part in an organised ‘walk and talk’ experience, led by one of Effective’s coaching team. The event will start at 10 and finish at 4. The walk will have a number of 20 minute ‘stops’ where we all discuss the topics of the day, linked by half hour stretches of walk, where we chat informally in smaller groups.
Towards the end of each walk there will be an ‘open session’ where we can discuss other issues of specific interest to you. Each walk is near a museum, so that if the weather is really bad, we will visit the museum and base ourselves there instead. We will in any case stop at a pub (or the museum) for lunch. You can choose to buy something to eat and drink there, or bring your own.
The cost is £50 per person. It would be wonderful if you wanted to bring a friend (or two…) with you, and if that were the case we offer special rates of £30 per person for every additional friend or relative you bring. Numbers are limited to around 15 people per walk. We are talking about walking, not hill climbing. All the walks have been chosen to be safe, ‘strollable’ and scenic.
